There is very minimal pain experienced during this service. The sensation is like a gentle warm rubber band being snapped. Clientele reports it as being comfortable. 

It is recommended to wait MINIMUM of 28 days before or after having other facial services done. 

Following a carbon facial peel your skin may appear red/pink and feel slightly warm. Like a mild sunburn. This generally lasts only 1-2 hours after the procedure. One may experience mild swelling or tenderness, both of which should also subside. Any pigmented lesions may darken before flaking off. 

Avoid the use of anti-aging products and exfoliants for a week prior to your Carbon Facial Peel. The day of your appointment please do not apply any SPF products to your face. If possible arrive to your appointment makeup free. 

Lesions typically heal within 7-10 days. It is essential that any scabs or flakes are allowed to fall off naturally to avoid scarring or discolouration. Following the healing, these areas should continue to fade over a course of 6-8 weeks. 

After your treatment you are required to refrain from:

Exercise and Perspiration- minimum 3 days. Sweat contains bacteria. 

Submersion/Heat- Saunas, pools, hot tubs- for at least 5 days.

Sun Exposure / Tanning Beds- always wear a topical sun protectant of at least SPF 30. 

Exfoliation, Cosmetics, Picking & Scratching- can cause scarring.

Hair Removal- avoid shaving the area for at least 48 hours.

Repeat treatment may be done every 28 days or once the skin has fully recovered.

Please be advised that multiple treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired result, typically 3-5.
